We are hitting the right chords with our Women's Health learning, meeting standards set by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). Our course was already approved for specialist GPs learning as part of RACGP's approval process. Now we have gone one step higher by having it approved as a whole course by RANZCOG meaning it is available for gynaecologists as part of their continuing professional development.

We know our online, self-paced, structured learning about persistent pelvic pain, will present a different but important perspective to a gynaecologist." With engaging clinically-led design and delivery, by two dynamic and highly qualified clinical leads, our course will upskill gynaecologists too. Approved for their CPD demonstates the relevance of the learning outcomes, to many aspects of their work. The course includes a whole session with Dr Kirsten Connan, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and advanced laparoscopic surgeon, who set up a multidisciplinary clinic approach using GPs as part of the team, over six years ago.

Dr Emily Ware a specialist GP with advance qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, interviews Dr Connan on the couch! Kirsten answers the many questions about when to refer, who to refer to first, or at the same time, what makes a great referral, and evidence about optimal outcomes if a patient has to have surgery. They get to find out what the GP does and can do, what pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments are used by them, the details about how a pelvic health physio treats persistent pelvic pain and patients with diseases such as endometriosis and adenomyosis, and get to know in detail what everyone else in the multidisciplinary team actually contributes to their patient's care journey, and much more.
